Summer is already upon us and time for more exciting book releases. Here are some of my most anticipated summer releases.
1. This Savage Song, by Victoria Schwab:
It is hard to believe that I got introduced to V.E Schwab at the beginning of this year. But ever since then, she had became my obsession. I have read all of her novels and loved every single word in them. So even though there isn’t any other reasons needed to have this at the top of my anticipated releases, but it is because the premise sound so promising and interesting. As put in her own words, the story is “Romeo and Juliet without the love part”. To a close to anti-romantic reader like me, it was enough to get me sold. I hate it when writes of fantasy with a romantic subplots make their stories romance with a fantasy subplot. It would be a nice breather from that in this book.
A Torch Against the Night (Amber in the Ashes 2) by Sabaa Tahir:
The same novel that broke our heart to pieces, joined it together to cut it more. Extremely torturous yet so adoring novel. And now it’s sequel is on its way. Of course I am psyched.
In this part, (write more after reading the first one and than the back-cover and the excerpt) we will follow Elias and Laia, now as a tag team being chased by the empire. In a twisted turn of fate, Elias does manage to accomplish his initial goal of book 1 and ran from the empire. But as who have read the first book knows, all didn’t had gone according to plan.
And I have the theory that Helene will be given the assignment to chase after them, so it would be interesting to see. I can’t wait for this book.
Wow, my list turns out to be quite small. But that doesn’t make the wait any easier. Tell me what your anticipated summer releases are? I would love to know.
